Toomey is a not-for-profit organization providing community-based clinical treatment services and programs for children, adolescents, adults and their families in the Central New York region.



Toomey Residential and Community Services is committed to assisting individuals to reach their highest level of capability and to increase their opportunities for success through our community based clinical treatment services and programs.


As the Registered Nurse and under the supervision of the Director of Medical Services, you will coordinate comprehensive medical services to promote the well being of the individuals in the care of our program. You will provide staff, foster parents and individuals with relevant health information and education commensurate with their needs. You will Supervise the Licensed Practical Nurses, as appropriate. Provide oversight of medication related activities of staff and clients and Clinical certification for employees to administer medication. Serve as a liaison and advocate between residents and the various community health providers and educational settings serving their needs. 


What this position does not have; nights, weekends or on-call. 


We are looking for either a full-time or part-time Registered Nurse to work Monday - Friday days. 


You must have a current New York State Registered Nurse registration and an Associates Degree with specialized training, coursework or skill acquisition related to this position and 3 years of relevant experience. You also must have a valid NYS drivers license and clearance from NYS Child Abuse Registry. We are looking for someone who has a good customer service base and is creative with problem solving.
