Young Adult Supervised Independent Living


Toomey Residential and Community Services is committed to assisting individuals to reach their highest level of capability and to increase their opportunities for success through our community based services and programs. 


Full Time, Sun - Thursday 3-11pm


The Supervised Independent Living Program supports transition age youth, 17-21 on their journey towards independence.  


Program Advocates in the SILP provide 24 hour supervision, and assist residents in reaching personal goals in areas such as community involvement, education, employment and personal wellness. 


High School Diploma or GED required; Associates in Human Services preferred. Experience working with young adults, youth in foster care, other human services area helpful.  A clean valid NYS drivers’ license. Some positions require staff to use their own vehicle for work purposes.  Will be required to successfully complete fingerprinting clearance; have good verbal & written skills; ability to attend training and pass the test to become med. certified, if required.


All positions at Toomey Residential and Community Services are required to attend Virtus training within 60 days of hire and to successfully clear the Virtus background check. This position also requires an acceptable State child abuse clearance background check. EOE
