Responsibilities

  1. Teach, model and coach specific patterns of behavior by teaching and coaching basic living and parenting skills to parents whose children have been identified at risk for or placed in foster care. Implement as outlined in the purpose of services, home safety, increased nutrients, appropriate discipline, child development, household management, health nutrition and supportive social network.
  2. Provide weekly face to face contact with clients as agreed upon by the Case Manager and Supervisor.
  3. Immediately report all safety and risk concerns. 
  4. Provide transportation on a limited basis as it relates to the purpose of service.
  5. Provide supervised visits for parents whose children are in Foster Care or relative placement.
  6. Attend and participate in monthly trainings, team meetings and Service Plan Reviews.

Qualifications

Associates/Bachelors Degree preferred. At least 1 year experience providing home based services with vulnerable families and at-risk children less than 10 years of age. 

 

Licenses/Certificate/Clearances: Valid N.Y.S. Drivers License, N.Y.S. Registered and Insured vehicle. NYS Central Registry Clearance.

 

Part Time; Monday-Friday; less than 20 hours weekly
