We currently have part-time opportunities in our Men’s Emergency Shelter. Ideal candidates will have availability to work evenings, overnights and/or weekends.
Hours will vary @16 hours per week.
Shelter Workers provide support and connections to the individuals who are staying at the shelter. Assist with routine activities such as meals, laundry and housekeeping. Assist and advocate for appropriate programs or services. Maintain guidelines as established. Respond to emergencies and notify appropriate personnel in a timely fashion.
HS Diploma/GED required. Associates degree in human services preferred. Knowledge of services available and local resources. At least one year experience working with housing vulnerable or homeless is preferred.
N.Y.S. Child Abuse Registry clearance. Successful completion of Child and Youth Protection Training.
