The Direct Support Professional (DSP) will provide direct care, supervise and act as a role model to clients who reside in a group home setting or out in the community. Assist and teach clients day to day routines and basic living skills such as defined in care plans. Maintain household including meal planning and preperation. Serve as a positive liaison to schools, parents, and others who have a relationship to clients. Provide transportation for program/client activities. Assist in academic needs and participate in and plan recreation as appropriate.


Part time - 30 hours - Friday through Sunday

Friday: 12pm and includes a sleep over shift Friday night. This sleep over shift means that you sleep from 11pm to 7am at the house in the house staff office/bedroom.




Must be 21 year's old and have a valid NYS driver's license with 4 points or less. High School Diploma or GED required; Associates in Human Services preferred. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in another human service area or in a health care field preferred. Will be required to successfully complete the OPWDD fingerprinting clearance.
