    Responsibilities

    The Service Worker will coordinate labor activities of outsourced workers to meet program needs. Prepare apartments including cleaning, minor repairs, and habitability inspections. Assist with and / or supervise special individual and team projects such as cleanout, renovations etc. Move individuals from shelter into housing and / or from one apartment to another. Respond to acute program needs, including but not limited to infestations, furniture removals / deliveries and other habitability issues. Identify risk and safety issues and report to supervisor. Conduct and / or assist with habitability inspections. Assist with moving furniture and driving agency vehicles which may include a cube truck. Assist with the coordination of client volunteers and outsourced labor. Maintain appropriate communication with supervisors and other funding sources. Notify of any safety issues in a timely manner. 

     

    Qualifications

    HS Diploma or equivalent.  Up to three year relevant experience in facility maintenance. Valid N.Y.S. Drivers License.
