    Responsibilities

    The Navigator will do full cycle recruitment for CASS program including networking and presentation to community service providers. Administer assessments to evaluate areas needing support and complete participant registration process. Create standardized navigation plan based on assessments. Provide supports in relation to personal and family barriers including but not limited to childcare, managing finances, food, clothing, housing, medical and psychological factors. Monitor client progress and refer clients to community resources and other organizations. Follow standardized participant contact requirements including on and off-site visits including employer contact. Help clients modify attitudes and patterns of behavior through barrier assessments and counseling. Transport clients to training class,  medical appointments, interviews, and other locations as needed. Build strong rapport with diverse group of participants. Work with Program Manager to ensure that the necessary funding paperwork (statistical information, contracts, client case files.) are completed and recorded properly. Performs other duties as assigned by the Program Manager. Regularly attend staff meetings. Maintain guidelines established by the funding sources and Catholic Charities policies and procedures.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s Degree in human services, communications, or related field with minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of experience working with vulnerable populations or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Familiarity with local community service providers preferred. Valid NYS DL and NYS Child Abuse Registry clearance.
