The Caseworker will assist eligible homeless or housing vulnerable Veterans and families to find and/or maintain housing and access income/benefits. Assess issues relating to their current housing crisis and refer clients to community resources and connection to Veterans Administration Programs. Provide follow-up for three to six months to ensure that housing stability has been maintained. Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation in the web-based software system. Maintain guidelines established by the funding sources and Catholic Charities policies and procedures. All other duties related to housing Veterans to help them remain housed.
Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services related field required with three years experience working with adults or an equivalent combination of experience and education. Demonstrated ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
Valid N.Y.S. Drivers License, registered and insured vehicle, N.Y.S. Child Abuse Registry clearance.
