The After School Enrichment Teacher will design and implement enrichment activities, such as cooking, dance, music, STEM, or other areas of special interest. Differentiate instruction according to student readiness and interest for optimal youth participation. Identify student interests, strengths, and talent to plan activities. Maintain a safe, healthy and nurturing environment for all participants. Plan and lead activities designed to give participants opportunities that promote leadership and teamwork. Create authentic projects which are publicly celebrated by peers, educators, family, and community. Develop written lesson plans and communicate student needs to After School Program Manager. Collaborate with teachers and parents. Maintain guidelines established by the funding sources and Catholic Charities policies and procedures.
This is a Part Time position, Monday – Thursday, 2:45pm – 6:15pm. Positions are competitively compensated.
Bachelor’s Degree with one (1) year relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience to include certification or technical degree in a specialty. Proven ability to lead groups and strong classroom management and conflict resolution skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Cultural competency, enthusiasm and high level of motivation is a must.
