    Responsibilities

    The Shift Leader will supervise and support staff in accordance with shelter policies and procedures. Serve as the primary contact for staff regarding shift scheduling related concerns. Responsible for shift schedule to include: staff time off, staff unexpected absences, lateness, and coordination of alternate staff to ensure shift coverage. Monitor and evaluate staff performance, absences, and tardiness. Resolve conflicts in a manner consistent with program guidelines. Respond to client and shelter emergencies and notify proper emergency authorities in a timely fashion. Maintain a clean and safe environment as appropriate. Maintain and update Nightly Shelter Log. Communicates with other shift supervisor and Program Manager. Act as professional role model for staff and participants. Maintain guidelines established by the funding sources and Catholic Charities policies and procedures.

     

    This position is an over night position. Hours are from 12am-8am.

    Qualifications

    H.S. Diploma or G.E.D. with up to three (3) years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Experience working with a specific population preferred. Valid N.Y.S. Drivers License, N.Y.S. Child Abuse Registry clearance.
