    Responsibilities

    The Events and Development Specialist will plan and coordinate agency special events including the coordination of all event logistics, committee meetings, associated minutes, collaborating with committee chairs and co-chairs, serving as a direct contact with sponsors, and fielding all donor and sponsor phone calls and inquiries as they pertain to events. Analyze expenditures and make spending recommendations related to event management activities, advertising, and agency partnerships. Work with the Chief Development Office in the management, implementation and growth of giving programs. Track donors, donations, and changes in giving level; communicate changes and make recommendations to Chief Development Officer on potential giving levels for existing or new donors. Participate as an active committee member on the House of Providence Dinner planning committee. Utilize Raiser’s Edge data base to produce reports, analyze donor activity, and produce mailing lists. Maintain complete electronic and paper files for the Development Department as needed. Coordinate and maintain departmental purchases and petty cash account. Maintain guidelines established by the funding sources and Catholic Charities policies and procedures.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or other related field and a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience required. At least two (2) years of experience developing and giving presentations to groups of all sizes; Excellent oral and written communications skills; Proficient user of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Valid N.Y.S. Drivers License, N.Y.S. Child Abuse Registry clearance.
