    The Accounting Specialist will process and maintain accounts payable/billings and accounting transactions in accordance with Agency standards and procedures. Notify direct supervisor and program of discrepancies, and work to resolve discrepancies. Coordinate with program and funding sources on A/R collections. Prepare and process claims to funding sources. Complete specific accounting projects as assigned. Maintain controls over cash in banks and bank accounts. Assist with cash management. Maintain satisfactory working relationships with vendors and/or funding sources. Attend meetings and communicate with programs as necessary. Maintain guidelines established by the funding sources and Catholic Charities policies and procedures.


    Associate’s Degree preferred in Accounting or related field. HS Diploma/GED with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience required. Relevant experience includes working in the field of financial accounting in a business, not-for-profit or governmental environment.
