The IT Technician will provide one-on-one end-user problem resolution on site and over the phone for hardware/software problems. Perform question/problem diagnosis and guide users through step-by step solutions. Clearly communicate technical solutions in a user-friendly, professional manner; provide one-on-one end-user training as needed. Report more complex end-user problems to IT Technician. Deliver, tag, set up, and assist in the configuration of end-user PC desktop hardware, software and peripherals. Diagnose and resolve end-user network or local printer problems, PC hardware problems, e-mail, Internet, and local-area network access problems. Performs minor desktop hardware repair for PC computer equipment and peripherals. Helps install local area network cabling systems and equipment.
Associates degree, A+ certification or Certificate from a two year accredited computer technical program with a minimum of three (3) years relevant experience in desktop, printer and copier installation and troubleshooting; Network cabling; Routers and wireless networking VPN ; Remote administration of Local Area Network LAN/WAN installation, support and maintenance. Software/Hardware installation; Network protocols in a Windows Server 2003/2008 environment. Valid N.Y.S. Driver’s License, registered and insured vehicle.
