The Neighborhood Advisor will provide information and referrals to senior citizens, make presentations to community groups providing information on services available, advocate for clients by providing referrals and coordinating services, seek out homebound elderly and conduct home visits, maintain guidelines established by the funding sources and Catholic Charities policies and procedures, and coordinate transportation services as needed for elderly clients.
Associates Degree in a Human Services related field preferred, H.S. Diploma/GED with up to (3) years’ experience working with vulnerable individuals or a combination of education and relevant experience preferred. Valid N.Y.S. Driver’s License, registered and insured vehicle, N.Y.S. Child Abuse Registry clearance.
