The Accounting Specialist-B will provide accounting support, primarily for invoicing/billing and accounts payable, to the Finance Department.
This position is in Syracuse, NY and position is conducted on-site.
Essential Functions and responsibilities include;
Associate’s Degree preferred in Accounting or related field. HS Diploma/GED with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience required. Relevant experience includes working in the field of financial accounting in a business, not-for-profit or governmental environment.
Skills/Abilities: Able and willing to multi-task and embrace change. Approachable and customer-service oriented. Exercise sound judgement/discretion. Self-motivated and highly attentive to detail. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook and Word. Basic understanding of accounting software/systems. Effective oral and written communication skills.
