The Construction Services Technician will maintain and perform general building and property repairs including but not limited to, drywall, carpentry, electrical, masonry, plumbing and property maintenance restoration services. Additional responsibilities include: being competent in the operation of construction equipment and hand tools; possessing a working knowledge of and be comfortable using snow plowing equipment and light to medium duty equipment used in the operation of snow plowing, de-icing equipment and snow removal; possessing basic computer skills and be able to utilize technology efficiently; ensuring all projects proceed and are completed in accordance with federal, state and local codes; providing and maintaining a safe environment, reporting unsafe conditions to the General Manager; maintaining guidelines established by Company at it relates to General Construction Services; and being capable of working with, leading and knowledge sharing with employees at various skill levels.
Education and/or Experience Required at Entry: High School Diploma or equivalent with up to three (3) years of relevant experience. Experience in property maintenance and repairs preferred.
Licenses/Certificate/Clearances: Must possess a valid N.Y.S. Driver’s License, Be able to pass and obtain N.Y.S. Child Abuse Registry clearance, Virtus and Background check.
Skills and Abilities: Basic computer skills, knowledge of building maintenance and repairs, creative problem-solving skills, good interpersonal/social communication skills; ability to lift 50 pounds, be a self-starter and be self-guided in the construction trades.
