The System Administrator will be expected to have a strong skillset across server administration, WAN/LAN network configuration, and applicable security knowledge. Other responsibilities include:
Education and/or Experience Required at Entry: Bachelor degree, in Computer Science, IT, or related field with (1) one to three (3) years relevant experience in server side support and maintenance; Routers and wireless networking VPN ; Remote administration of Local Area Network LAN/WAN installation, support and maintenance. Software/Hardware installation; Network protocols in a Windows Server 2003/2008 environment.
Licenses/Certificate/Clearances: Valid N.Y.S. Drivers License, registered and insured vehicle, Criminal background check
Knowledge of: Computer hardware configuration: desktop computers, laptops, servers, smartphones / mobile computing; Input devices: keyboards, mice, and scanners; Output devices: displays, printers, and speakers; Data storage devices: internal and external hard drives; Networking hardware: routers, switches, fiber optics; Software: Server 2012 R2, 2016 R2, 2019; anti-virus system, cloud solution for disaster recovery solution
Working Conditions and Environment/Physical Demands: Able to lift 50 lbs. Mobility sufficient to drive to and participate in meetings at client’s homes and/or community facilities which may not meet Federal accessibility standards for disabled individuals, Manual dexterity sufficient to work with technical equipment in an active environment.
