Responsibilities

Toomey Residential and Community Services is seeking a Program Manager to join our Children's Community Residence team serving children/youth with behavioral issues and mental health diagnosis.

 

  • Recommend program changes and strategies to the Director to increase the quality and delivery of client services
  • Hire, provide orientation, train, supervise, evaluate and coach all case management, supervisory, and direct care staff. Develop and train staff and model for staff strength based interactions and communication practices with the residents, their families and each other. Provide regular supervision meetings and required evaluations of Program Staff.
  • Serve as advocate and resource for program, staff, and program participants.
  • Responsible for monitoring and ensuring timely completion of the Individual Service Plan process in the EHR.
  • Responsible for staffing schedule and compliance with program staffing requirements.
  • On a rotating basis, provide regular after hour support to program staff.
  • Maintain documentation in electronic health record and other documentation systems and adhere to compliance regulations
  • Facilitate, track and maintain all staff trainings.
  • Monitor program and fiscal records for timely completion and compliance with the agency and funding source policies
  • Ensure staff adhere to and maintain regulations, guidelines and policies as established by the funding sources and Toomey Residential and Community Services.
  • Any additional projects and tasks as assigned by the Program Director.

 

Qualifications

Successful candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or Human Services related field and one (1) to three (3) years of related experience working with children and families and three years of supervisory experience required. Valid NYS Driver’s license, State Central Registry Clearance. Computer skills sufficient to navigate and train in an Electronic Health Record, confidentiality, negotiation, knowledge of computer systems, Mandated reporting, creative problem solving, oral and written communication skills
