The Pre-K Substitute Teacher will work alongside Teacher Assistants to provide a safe and healthy learning environment, including in the classroom, outdoor spaces, on field trips, and on the bus. Actively engage with students in all areas of program. Support social and emotional development. Provide positive guidance. Advance physical and intellectual experience. Actively differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students. Establish positive and productive relationships with families, including home visits where appropriate. Maintain guidelines established by the funding sources and agency policies and procedures.
Education and/or Experience Required at Entry: Bachelors degree and experience managing a classroom. Love of children. Early childhood teaching experience and NYS teaching Certification (Birth-6th) preferred.
Skills/Abilities: Computer skills, good interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work in a team environment. Classroom management.
Licenses/Certificate/Clearances: Criminal history check, NYS registry clearance.
Working Conditions and Environment/Physical Demands: Mobility sufficient to work in an office environment. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate office equipment including machines.
Required Trainings: VIRTUS, Corporate Compliance, Core Updates.
