* This position will be located primarily in Fulton. Travel to Syracuse may be required for no more than 2 days/week.
The Senior Accountant will perform general ledger tasks and financial reporting functions for Catholic Charities of Onondaga County and/or other agencies that we serve.
Responsibilities:
Education and/or Experience Required at Entry: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required or a combination of education and experience. Relevant experience includes working in the field of financial reporting in a for-profit, not-for-profit, or government environment.
Skills/Abilities: Critical thinking skills. Able and willing to multi-task and embrace change. Self-motivated with effective time management and project management skills. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Office, SharePoint, Teams). Knowledge of QuickBooks is preferred. Effective oral and written communication skills.
Licenses/Certificate/Clearances: Valid N.Y.S. Drivers License.
Working Conditions and Environment/Physical Demands: Mobility sufficient to work in an office environment. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate office equipment including adding machines.
Required Trainings: VIRTUS, Corporate Compliance, and Confidentiality/HIPAA.
