Responsibilities

The Project Coordinator will coordinate and monitor services for the Elderly Services RSVP participants.

 

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the day-to day operations of the Federal and State RSVP programs.
  • Serve as liaison and create new partnerships with community-based volunteer sites. Conduct regular site visits.
  • Conduct recruitment events to increase volunteer numbers.
  • Oversee the work of the Program Assistant.
  • Work collaboratively with Program Manager and Program Director in monitoring the RSVP program budgets, reports, and grants. Submit reports as necessary.
  • Maintain required documentation on volunteers, hours, and community volunteer sites.
  • Participate in required staff meetings and trainings.
  • Maintain program records and guidelines established by the funding sources and Catholic Charities of Onondaga County policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience Required at Entry: Bachelor's degree with 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of community volunteer programs as well as services to the elderly.

 

Skills and Abilities: Ability to utilize electronic database system. Proficiency in MS Office and specifically MS Outlook. Customer service skills. Oral and written communication skills.

 

Licenses/Certifications/Clearances: Valid NYS Driver's License.

 

Working Conditions and Environment/Physical Demands: Mobility sufficient to drive to and participate in meetings at client's homes and/or community facilities which may not meet Federal accessibility standards for disabled individuals. Manual dexterity sufficient to work with children/adults in a challenging and active environment.

 

Required Trainings: VIRTUS, Corporate Compliance, Defensive Driving.
