Position Requirements: The program caseworker will work closely with the Program Coordinator on individualizing the service plans for the children in the program. A primary duty will be working to improved functioning during home visits and coach families to better meet their child’s emotional/behavioral needs to prepare them for when they return home. The caseworker will assist facilitating the intake process and complete required paperwork. The caseworker will interface with school personnel, therapist and other community providers. 

Education and/or Experience Required at Entry: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field preferred. Supervisory experience and experience working with youth who have emotional/behavioral challenges. 

Skills/Abilities: Basic Computer skills, CPR/FA. Will be required to successfully complete the necessary criminal background clearance; have good verbal & written skills; ability to attend training to become med. certified. Excellent communication skills needed to work with a wide variety of people both within the agency and the community.

Licenses/Certificate/Clearances: Valid N.Y.S. Drivers License and registered vehicle is required. N.Y.S. Child Abuse Registry clearance.
