Responsibilities

The Client Support Worker will be responsible for transportation services and providing non-professional assistance in the Family Advocacy Program. They will  help with scheduling transportation for Supervised Visitation Services, maintaining the visitation calendar, transporting clients to and from supervised visits and group classes. Additioally they will deliver emergency and basic need items to clients, while ensuring vehicle cleanliness and compliance with safety regulations. The Client Support Worker will provide fill-in supervision for foster children visits, conducting home visits for gathering. They will provide information and resources, and offering childcare for group classes. The Client Support Worker plays a vital role in supporting casework staff and delivering services to clients effectively. This position will also maintain guidelines established by the funding sources and Catholic Charities policies and procedures.

 

This Position is Full Time and Pay is $19.00/Hour

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience Required at Entry:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Additional specialized training, coursework, or skill acquisition related to the position.
  • Up to one year of relevant experience


Licenses/Certificate/Clearances:

  • Valid N.Y.S. Drivers License.
  • Registered and insured vehicle.
  • N.Y.S. Child Abuse Registry clearance.

 

Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and courteous relationships with clients, agency staff, and the general public.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook and MS Office.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills


Working Conditions and Environment/Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs,
  • Mobility sufficient to drive to and participate in meetings at client’s homes and/or community facilities which may not meet Federal accessibility standards for disabled individuals,
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to work with children/adults in a challenging and active environment.
