The Shelter Maintenance will perform a variety of cleaning and other physical/manual tasks as assigned as part of day to day operations of the CCMS, included but not limited to, moving, laundry, loading, packing, dumping and cutting. Cleaning and Laundry. Assist with individual and team projects such as moving. Respond to acute program needs, including but not limited to infestations, furniture removals / deliveries and other habitability issues. Report risk and safety issues to supervisor. Maintain appropriate communication with coworkers, supervisors and sensitive populations of people from diverse backgrounds. Observes all safety rules and regulations including use of personal protective equipment and material handling.
This is a PART-TIME position. Pay is $15 per hour.
Education and/or Experience Required at Entry: HS Diploma/GED or the ability to participate in on-the-job training required. Relevant experience in general maintenance, construction or commensurate occupational experience is preferred.
Licenses/Certificate/Clearances: Virtus background check, NYS Child Abuse Registry clearance.
Skills/Abilities: Experience with or ability to learn basic systems of measurement and trade tools; must be able to lift 50 pounds. Basic computer skills.
Working Conditions and Environment/Physical Demands: Manual dexterity and mobility sufficient to work within a challenging and active environment.
