Responsibilities

The Program Manager is responsible for the overall supervision and management of the Emergency Services Programs. This includes assessing staffing resources, ensuring the safety and security of clients and staff, and recruiting, hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating program staff. They oversee various program managers and coordinators, maintain the program budget, and ensure compliance with grant requirements through periodic file audits. The Program Manager also completes agency forms, coordinates with other providers, represents the organization at community meetings and events, and collaborates with the Program Officer to seek funding opportunities. They manage the department in alignment with Catholic Charities' mission, funding source guidelines, policies and procedures, and the agency's code of ethics.

 

 

This Position is Full Time. Pay For This Position is $63,000.00 a Year

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience Required at Entry:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Three (3) years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of the local Human Service delivery system, including public benefits programs, and experience working with low-income and/or homeless individuals.
  • Supervisory/leadership experience.

Licenses/Certificate/Clearances:

  • Valid N.Y.S. Driver's License.
  • Registered and Insured Vehicle
  • N.Y.S. Child Abuse Registry clearance.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficiency in utilizing electronic database systems.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Outlook and MS Office.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

Working Conditions and Environment/Physical Demands:

  • Mobility sufficient for driving to and participating in meetings at client's homes and community facilities that may not meet accessibility standards.
  • Manual dexterity necessary for working with children and adults in a challenging and active environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
